Notes to Editors:

Ian Macleod Distillers Ltd have
stocks of Springbank 30 year Old Rare Single Malt Scotch Whisky which is
renowned for being one of the world's most sought after rare malts. This
magnificent whisky was distilled using traditional methods at Springbank, which
is one of the few remaining Campbeltown distilleries and which has been
producing its fine malts there since 1828, under the direction of the
Mitchells, reputedly Scotland's
oldest distilling family. The Springbank malt is a mellow, smooth, yet
full-bodied whisky with a lingering taste, and it is unique as it is distilled
two and a half times whereas other malts are usually only distilled twice.

The Royal Burgess is one of the
oldest golfing societies in the world. Reputedly existing since 1735, the
Society initially played at Bruntsfield Links in the centre of Edinburgh
and in 1898 moved to a new parkland course at Barnton, on the edge of Edinburgh. The original
"19th Hole Lockers" remained in use until recent refurbishment of the

The George Nicoll hickory GEM putter
is a handcrafted masterpiece of Scottish traditional clubmaking by Heritage
Golf of St Andrews Ltd. Founded in 1881 George Nicoll was Scotland's most
prolific clubmaker during the first half of the 20th century turning out over
10,000 sets of golf clubs per year at its peak. The GEM model was one of
Nicoll's most popular ranges and the Heritage clubmakers are probably the last
in the World still hand crafting playable sets of hickory golf clubs shaped on
clubs prior to the 1930's.
