Opportunities like this don't come along every day. For the first time in its 175 year history, Glengoyne Distillery is releasing its oldest, most valuable and finest Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky: the Glengoyne 40 Years Old.
The quintessential expression of Glengoyne's famously unpeated 'Real Taste of Malt', this natural strength Limited Edition Single Malt is displayed in an elegant Glencairn crystal decanter, housed in a solid oak presentation box.
The pinnacle of perfection.
Individually numbered, the elegant hand blown decanter is produced by independent, Scottish, family business Glencairn Crystal and features an engraving of the award winning Glengoyne Distillery.
Together, the Glengoyne Limited Edition 40 Years Old Highland Single Malt, elegant crystal decanter, sumptuous presentation box and traditionally bound book, signed by the Distillery Manager, signify Real Excellence.

"I love the balance on this whisky.
It has aged very gracefully."
John Hansell, Malt Advocate magazine.
Tasting Notes:
APPEARANCE:
Dark, old copper.
NOSE:
Oily, red apples, créme brulee, ripe strawberries and cream. World class!
PALATE:
Layers of ripe bananas, spiced plums, honey and cereal, dries into grapefruit, then soft oak. Complex. Oily mouth feel. It's a joy to open casks after four decades and find such great balance between cask and still.
FINISH:
Long, dry and lingering.
