Glendronach 34 YO (1975) Hogshead @ 47.8% Vol
A traditional distillery, little changed since it was founded in 1826. Glendronach (Valley of the Blackberries) was mothballed between 1996 and 2002. Well known for operating with coal fires under the stills.
TASTING NOTES:
NOSE: Rich Dundee fruit cake. Fresh oak and light honey sweetness.
BODY: Meaty. Wild pheasant with a citrus honey sauce.
FINISH: Fresh, lemon zest and freshly cut Caledonian pine.
