Rosebank 1990 (Sherry Butt) 18 YO 70cl @ 46% Vol
History:
The Rosebank distillery was built in 1840 by James Rankine from the maltings of the former Camelon distillery. A very well respected malt produced by triple distillation using one wash still and two spirit stills.
The distillery lies on the banks of the Forth and Clyde canal by the town of Falkirk. Unfortunately, the distillery was closed in 1993 by its present owners. Production is unlikely to restart in the near future. A collector's bottle.
Nose: Candy floss, calamine, light smoke. Japanese grapes.
Body: Rich, smooth, light wood, peppery dried boar ham.
Finish: Rich, malty and minty with some citrus essence
