Macleod's Back to Macleod's
Single Speyside Malt
Speyside is the heartland of Scotch whisky production. Over half of all
Scotland's distilleries are to be found in this area, bordering the
famous River Spey.
While the spirit from each distillery
has its own character, Speyside malts are generally acknowledged to be
the country's most refined and elegant whiskies.
The
Macleod's Speyside single malt ranks amongst the finest of all
whiskies. It has a recognisable sherry character and subtle smokiness.
On the palate it reveals its true complexity, leaving a dry and floral
finish.
This single malt whisky has been aged in oak casks
for eight years, at the distillery of origin. Our Rare Malt Manager has
selected the whisky, cask by cask, having decided that it has reached
maturity and is ready for bottling.
